Add a Bill Credit Note

A bill credit note is a credit note you receive from a supplier.

To add a bill credit note :

1- Select Bill from the drop-down menu of Purchases.

2-In the All Bills tab click on Add New. Then select Add Credit Note.


3. Complete the contact and credit note details:

You can add files to the credit note:

  • Select Attach Files to add one of the files you have already uploaded to the system.

  • Select Upload to upload files from your browser.

Enter more details about the credit note:

To add an extra item, select Add Item.
To delete an item, click on the button at the end of the item you’d like to delete.

4. Select Save and Approve. You’ll be redirected to the All Bills tab where you can view the new credit note.

View and Edit Bill Credit Note

  • Allocate Credit Note allows you to allocate credit note amounts against any balances due by you to this contact.

Allocate a credit note :

  1. On your All Bills tab, select the document number of the bill you wish to allocate a credit note.

  2. Click on the button with three dots.

  3. Select Allocate Credit Note from the drop-down menu.


4. Enter the amount you’d like to allocate in the field next to the relevant bill(s).

5. When finished select Save.

Delete Bill Credit Note

  1. On your All Bills tab, select the document number of the invoice you wish to delete.

  2. Click on the button with three dots.

  3. Select Delete from the drop-down menu.

It’s only possible to delete a bill credit note if:

  • Some or all of the credit note has not yet been allocated to an outstanding bill.

  • The credit note has not yet been archived.

  • The credit note hasn’t already been included in a submitted VAT Return.
